In August, I made a trip down to Savannah, Georgia and Tybee Island to capture Shannon and Connor’s Tybee Island engagement session. I had such a fun weekend getting to know these two and spending a few days with Connor’s amazing family. We had originally planned to shoot on Friday, but we woke up Friday morning to a massive storm on the radar for our planned session time. We decided to pivot our plans and made the decision to shoot a portion of our session on Friday afternoon and portion of our session at sunrise on Saturday. With rain on the way, we bumped up our session time on Friday and headed to Forsyth Park to capture these two under those iconic Savannah trees. We shot for about 10 minutes before a downpour forced us to pause. We rushed to the car to keep dry and waited for our next chance. About a half hour later, we dashed back across the street for another 10 minute window before another downpour came! I’m so proud of these two for braving the weather and I’m so proud of what we were able to accomplish in such a short window at the park! The next morning, we were up bright and early to capture these two at the back river beach near Connor’s family home. It was the most gorgeous sunrise amongst the dunes and I couldn’t be more excited to capture these two next your at their Raleigh, NC wedding!
Shannon and Connor, it was such a joy to capture your Tybee Island engagement session and to get to hang with you for a weekend! I am so looking forward to capturing all your friends and family next May! Thank you for your hospitality and I can’t wait to see you guys again next year!
