In honor of this snowy day, I thought I’d let everyone in on how we spent our last snow day. It was quite exciting for a few reasons. So a few weeks ago, Greenville experienced a snow storm, which in itself was kind of exciting because it is rare that we get snow. Being from the South, I love a good snow. I find snow to be peaceful and lovely and will always welcome a good ole Southern snow day! So like a kid, I peered out the window every five seconds and like an adult with a smart phone I relentlessly checked my weather app in anticipation of the snow. This particular snow was supposed to start at 10 a.m. that day, and at 4 p.m. the freezing rain started to fall. I mean, my goodness, keep a girl on the edge of her seat waiting for snowmageddon, why don’t ya?! Around 8 p.m. that same evening, I got a text from my dear friend Jenna that said she was going into labor. Jenna and I had spent the last few weeks planning her family’s hospital newborn shoot and I was so excited it was about to happen. Because of the snow, we decided to wait until Naomi had officially arrived to come out for the session. The next morning the ground was covered with snow. I woke up to a text from Jenna saying that Naomi had arrived! Another day would pass before we were able to get to the hospital. It was so special to be able to help welcome this sweet newborn into the world, and to be with some of our dear friends, Jenna and Hunter. It was also so neat to watch Elin meet her new little sister! Jenna and Hunter, thank you so much for allowing me to capture such a special time in your lives! Hope you will enjoy these photos from Naomi’s newborn session at Vidant Medical Center!
Completely in love with this photo. These little baby hats are just the sweetest. ‘ello.Eskimo kisses are the best. Elin arrived at the hospital and was so excited to see her daddy. And totally enamored with the awesome new children’s hospital decor at Vidant Medical Center.Elin made a quick stop to introduce her baby to the nurse. Who’s that back there?I just can’t even, the way Elin is holding that little foot. “She’s soooo pretty!” -Elin I think they are going to be great friends. Grandma love. I had to hand over the camera to my hubby to sneak in for a quick photo with my girls!
