I don’t know if I have words to properly describe what a joy it was to document Molly and Joey’s Washington DC engagement photos! These two were such naturals in front of the camera and I can’t think of a more delightful way to spend an afternoon than strolling around Georgetown with these two happy souls. Our shoot was originally planned for Monday and as I started to check the weather leading into the weekend, a monsoon was also rolling on in on Monday from sunrise through 4 p.m. I was so worried that we were going to get totally rained out on Monday and religiously checked the weather all through Sunday as we were scouting locations and throughout the day on Monday as we were trying to determine the best plan. I made a risky call to split their shoot into two days with one part being Monday afternoon and the second part being Tuesday at sunrise to ensure we had enough time to get everything we could in Georgetown and everything we could at the monuments! After loads of debate and texts and calls, I think it was all worth it! Molly and Joey were so game! They were willing to be out in the rain or up at sunrise and I’m so grateful for them! As luck would have it, the rain literally stopped as they were getting out of the car in Georgetown a little earlier than expected. I couldn’t believe it and I was so grateful!
Molly and Joey, photographing your Washington DC engagement photos was one of the highlights of my 2020! I can hardly wait to come back and photograph you again. As I stated in my texts, there are plenty more row homes and monuments that need ya’ll in front of them! I cannot wait to document your April wedding back in Little Washington! We’re doing all the Washington spots this year!
