I met Tonya at a Bible Study I attended a few times with my friend Ashley through their church, Covenant. I was immediately drawn to Tonya’s amazing sense of humor and her sweet spirit, plus she always brought coffee to this particular bible study, so a friendship was inevitable. I was so excited when Tonya asked about a Lifestyle session because I knew it would be lovely! Tonya had some amazing vision for their photos and um hello, look at their outfits. She rocked out the coordinating but not too matchy, matchy outfits!! Tonya and Wes are both incredibly funny and easy to talk to. They love Jesus and are amazing parents to their little boy, Rivaldo. Rivaldo is quite possibly the cutest little kid on the planet. He has personality for days! He made the most amazing faces during our session and I was cracking up the whole time I was editing their session. He is a total ham and I love it! When we left Grady said, “I think Rivaldo is going to be an actor!” This is one of the things I love about lifestyle photography. It really gives you the opportunity to see people’s personalities! After our session we grabbed dinner at one of our favorite spots, Atavola. Grady and Wes bonded over TV shows, youtube videos and Ray Boltz. Tonya shared their amazing adoption story with me and how they met Rivaldo and I seriously want to cry just thinking about it. Adoption is so beautiful and I felt so incredibly blessed and encouraged by their story. Tonya, Wes and Rivaldo, we loved our time with you. Your family is so, so beautiful and we are so excited to call you friends. We can’t wait to hang out again!!
