When Grayson reached out about her Greenville, NC newborn session she reminded me of the incredible value that a photograph has. Grayson told me that when her mom passed away unexpectedly last year and her whole life changed, one thing that she clung to was pictures. I cried when I read her contact form, because this is one of the reasons photography is so important to me. It helps people remember. It stops time in moments of joy. It gives comfort in moments of sadness. It helps us pause the most sacred spaces in time and gift them to generations to come. This is the true value of a photo and it is so important. I am so grateful to Grayson for reminding me of that. Grayson and Britton, thank you so much for inviting me into your beautiful home to document a day in your first few weeks with Channing. He is so beautiful. I loved watching you love him so well already. Thank you for loving and appreciating the value of photographs and making me feel so welcome.
