Holly + Renato

Holly and Renato have a love story for the ages! We were so excited to meet up with them for their Greenville, NC engagement session and had heard bits and pieces of their incredible long distance love story from Holly’s mom. Holly lives in Seattle and Renato in Chile and they have just been reunited after being apart for five months.  I know I will not do this story justice, but I will try! The first time Renato saw Holly, she was dancing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris with her company, Paradosi. Renato was working in missions in France with YWAM. Renato was enamored with this beautiful performance and took notice of one dancer in particular, Holly. They parted ways, but Renato introduced himself in hopes they could connect and Holly’s company could come perform sometime, somewhere. Holly thinking it not very likely that they would ever perform in Chile did not think much of it. Several years later, their paths crossed again in France and they ended up working in the same location together for several months. This was a time they were able to watch each other serve, perform, grow and get to know each other better. When their time was up in France, Renato returned to Chile and Holly to Seattle, but they stayed in touch. Through dozens and dozens of hand written letters and hours and hours of face time dates their relationship grew and grew. Through distance and time they fell deeply in love with each other with an amazingly strong and beautiful love completely centered around Jesus and it is so, so inspiring. Renato proposed on a trip to Greenville, NC in Holly’s grandparents backyard. The spot is featured in their session along with some of the things that help tell Holly and Renato’s love story: some of the letters they exchanged, face time, ballet and a love of coffee! Holly and Renato, we cannot even begin to express how much we loved photographing you! Your joy is so, so evident. Your love for Jesus and each other shines through you so brightly. We could not be more excited to photograph your September wedding! We truly feel like we have made two amazing new friends!
