We’ve had the joy of documenting weddings for over nine years throughout North Carolina and the world. People often ask us – “Why weddings?” There are so many wonderful things we could say about the beauty of weddings, the stunning details and epic design or how incredibly fun the receptions are. And while we do love capturing those things, they aren’t the heart behind our work. Wedding photography became a way to capture some of life’s most whole-hearted moments – the real ones. These were moments of love and of legacy. And not only could we capture these incredible moments, we could share them with the people who would treasure them the most. And just like that, they could see an image and be transported back to a feeling…a memory, and experience it all over again. For us, this is the magic and mystery in documenting weddings. We find so much joy in capturing stories with intention, because when our client’s look back on their images, we know they will feel something, and remember – the first embrace on their wedding day, the way their dad’s eyes filled with tears seeing his daughter for the first time, a mother touching her son’s face as they share a special dance. We come alive documenting these memories! It is our hope that couple’s can savor these moments fully and then relish them all over again through their wedding photos.
